How to use Netflix on your Insignia TV or Blu-ray player

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your Insignia TV, Blu-ray, player or home theater system, and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you don't know if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps in the “Set Up Netflix” section.

Netflix in Ultra HD

Netflix is available on many Insignia TVs and Blu-ray players in the United States and Canada.

To connect your Insignia TV, Blu-ray player or home theater system to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and select the option below that best describes your device.

If you see the Netflix icon on-screen

Select Netflix from the Home screen.
Select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To start over or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, use the arrow keys on your controller to enter the following sequence:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up
Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

If you don't see the Netflix icon on-screen

Select TV & Movies on Demand from the main Home screen.
Select Netflix.
Select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To start over or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, use the arrow keys on your controller to enter the following sequence:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up
Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

Insignia Roku TV

Go to the Netflix home screen, then go left to open the menu.
At the bottom, select Get Help > Sign out > Yes.

Note:

If you don't see Get Help, go up and select Settings .

If you can't find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out:

Using your remote, press these buttons in this order: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
On the menu that appears, select Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate.

Smart TV

Select Settings from the main Home screen.
Select Help.
Select Reset & Deactivate.
Select Deactivate Netflix.
Select Deactivate to confirm deactivation.

Blu-ray player or home theater system

Select Settings from the main Home screen.
Select System.
Select Restore Factory Defaults.
Select Deactivate Netflix.
Select OK to confirm deactivation.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on most Insignia Ultra HD Roku TVs. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.
A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV with the Netflix app that is capable of streaming Ultra HD content at 60 Hz.
A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.
Streaming quality set to Auto or High.
