Netflix freezes or crashes on launch or while loading a movie or TV show.

If the Netflix application on your device does one of the following when trying to open Netflix or play a title:

  • Freezes
  • Crashes
  • Closes unexpectedly
  • Becomes unresponsive to the point that you cannot close the application

There may be an issue with the device itself. Try turning the device completely off or unplugging it and plug it back in, turn the device on and try loading Netflix again. If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend contacting your device manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
