Billing FAQs: Free (Bundle)

Customers in France can sign up for an eligible Free package that includes a Netflix subscription.

Once you've signed up for a Free package that includes Netflix, you'll want to link a new or existing Netflix account.

How can I link my Netflix account to my Free package?

Once you've signed up for a Free package that includes Netflix, you will receive an email from Free that contains an activation link. Click the link or sign in directly to the Free self-care portal at free.fr and follow the prompts to link your existing Netflix account to your Free package, or create a new Netflix account to link to your Free package.

You can also link your Netflix account by launching the Netflix app on your Free set-top box; make sure you're not launching the app from your Smart TV or another device. Follow the prompts to either link your existing Netflix account to your Free package or create a new Netflix account to be linked to your Free package. You may need to sign out of your Netflix account on your Free set-top box to begin the linking process.

How do I check to see if Netflix is included in my Free package?

I accidentally linked the wrong Netflix account to my Free package. What should I do?

If you accidentally connect the wrong account to your Free package, follow these steps:

  1. Sign out of the Netflix app on all of your devices.

  2. Contact Free at assistance.free.fr. Tell the agent you have a Netflix subscription through your Free package, and you connected the wrong Netflix account to your Free package.

  3. Ask the agent to cancel your Free package.

  4. Once the agent has confirmed the cancellation is complete, ask the agent to immediately re-enroll you in the Free package that includes Netflix.

  5. You can then launch Netflix on your Free set-top or sign in to the Free self care portal at free.fr and follow the prompts to connect your desired Netflix account.

What will happen to my Netflix account if I cancel my Free package or service?

If you cancel your Free package or service, one of two things will happen:

  • If your Netflix account has a valid method of payment (credit or debit card, for example) on file, you will continue to stream uninterrupted and we will charge your method of payment.

  • If your Netflix account does not have a valid method of payment on file, your account will go on hold. To continue streaming, visit netflix.com/youraccount and add a new method of payment.

How do I change my Netflix plan?

To change your plan, sign in to Netflix and visit your Account page. Then select Change Plan to view and select available plans.

If you upgrade to the Standard 2 Screen or Premium 4 Screen plan, the additional charge, based on Netflix retail price, will be reflected on your Free bill.

What happens to my Netflix Gift Card or promotional balance when I link my account to my Free package?

Once you link your account to your Free package, your gift balance will be held on your account for future use. In the future, if you cancel your Free package, we will continue to bill your gift card or promotional balance.

I connected my Netflix account to my Free package, but I'm still being charged on my credit/debit card. What should I do?

It's possible that you accidentally mistyped your email while linking your account and created a duplicate account. To resolve this, try the following:

  1. Sign in to your account on free.fr and navigate to the self-care area. Make sure you are signed out of Netflix on the device you are using.

  2. Select the option to Recover your Netflix Account. You will be directed to a sign-in page with your email address auto-populated.

  3. Confirm that the email address you entered is typed correctly. If not, follow the steps under "I accidentally linked the wrong Netflix account to my Free package. What do I do now?" to update which account is linked to your Free package.

How do I cancel Netflix?

To unlink your Netflix account from your Free package and stop paying for Netflix through Free, please contact Free customer support.

  • If your Netflix account has a valid method of payment on file, we will immediately resume billing your method of payment and your streaming will continue uninterrupted. If you do not want to continue your Netflix membership, please contact us after you've canceled with Free.

  • If your Netflix account doesn't have a valid method of payment on file, your account will immediately go on hold. To continue streaming, you must visit your Netflix Account page and add a new payment method.

You can contact Free customer support at assistance.free.fr. Be sure to tell the Free agent that you have Netflix through your Free package.
