Netflix Error ATV-ui92

If you experience the error code ATV-ui92 on your Apple TV, often accompanied by the following message:

Unable to sign in
The account name or password you entered does not match an account in our records.

This error is usually caused by an issue with your sign in process. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

Note:
This error only occurs on Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3. If you experience this error on Apple TV 4 or Apple TV 4K, please contact customer service.

If you are using the Remote app on an Apple mobile device:

  • Switch to the original Apple TV remote, then try signing in again.

If you are not using the Remote app on an Apple mobile device:

  • Check that you are entering the correct password.

  • If you are still unable to sign in, send yourself a password reset email (or mobile reset, if you have provided your phone number).

    • The email will provide a link that will sign you in to Netflix automatically. You'll then be prompted to create a new password.

    • Be sure to use the link within 24 hours, as it will expire. If the link has expired, don't worry -- you can send yourself another password reset email.

Reset all settings on your Apple TV

These steps will erase your Apple TV, reset saved settings, and clear data stored on your device, such as your Netflix login and your Wi-Fi name and password. Make sure to have this information ready, and follow these steps only if other steps haven't fixed the issue.

To fix the problem:

  1. Follow Apple's steps to reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings.

  2. After resetting your Apple TV and finishing the initial setup, try Netflix again.
