Netflix says 'There's a problem communicating with Netflix.'

If you see an error that says

There's a problem communicating with Netflix. Try again later.

It typically points to information stored on your Apple TV that needs to be refreshed. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

Restart your Apple TV
  1. Press and hold the Menu button on the Apple TV remote until it returns you to the Home Screen.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select General.

  4. Select Restart.

  5. Wait for the Apple TV to finish rebooting, then try Netflix again.
