Netflix says, 'The connected display is not supported. (10065)'
Cannot Play Video
The connected display is not supported. (10065)
This error can happen if you're using an unsupported video output method, or if your Netflix plan doesn't support using a mobile device to watch Netflix on a TV.
To fix the problem:
Check your Netflix plan
To use a mobile device to watch Netflix on a TV, you'll need to switch to an ad-free plan if you're currently on an ad-supported plan. If you're on the Mobile plan, you'll need to upgrade your plan to one that supports watching Netflix on a TV.
Check your video adapter
Lightning connector with video adapter
Make sure your video adapter is supported
-
Remove all cables connected to the adapter, then connect it to your iPhone or iPad.
-
Go to Settings > General > About > Apple HDMI Adapter.
-
Check the Model Number.
-
If you see A1438 or A1621, your adapter is supported. Try using a different cable or HDMI port on your TV. If that doesn't work, follow Apple's steps to fix a different video connection issue.
-
If you don't see A1438 or A1621, your video adapter isn't supported with Netflix and is causing the issue. See which Lightning adapters Netflix supports.
-
Thunderbolt or USB-C video cable or adapter
For issues with iPhone and iPad devices with a USB-C port, these options may help:
-
Make sure your TV or display is set to the correct video input source.
-
Make sure your video cable or adapter supports HDCP 2.2.
-
Try reversing the ends of the video cable or adapter.
-
If possible, try connecting to a different video port on your TV or display.
Watch Netflix directly on your TV
If your plan supports watching on a TV and you have a Netflix-ready TV or streaming device, you can watch directly on your TV using the Netflix app.
