The disc I got from Netflix won't play.

If you're having trouble playing the DVD or Blu-ray disc you received from Netflix, remove the disc from your player and follow the steps that best describe the disc below.

Disc is dirty or scratched

  1. If the disc is dirty or scratched, try cleaning it with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
  2. Dry the disc completely and try to enjoy the title again.
  3. If the issue persists, please report the problem so we can send you a replacement immediately.

Disc is visibly damaged

If the DVD is cracked, please report the problem so we can send you a replacement immediately.

No visible damage to the disc

  1. If there’s no visible damage to the disc, or if it still doesn't play after cleaning, try playing it in another player.
  2. If the disc won’t play in another player, or you don’t have another player available, refer to our articles on DRM or Cinavia errors for further troubleshooting.
