How can I pay for Netflix through Google Play?

Google Play billing for Netflix is not available to new or rejoining Netflix customers. New customers signing up in the Netflix app on an Android device will be prompted to enter a payment method.

How do I check to see if I am billed on my Google Play account?

The Membership and Billing section of your Netflix Account page will list your current payment method.

You can also check with Google Play to see if Netflix is a part of your Google Play subscription package.

How do I stop being billed through Google Play and start being billed through Netflix?

You can update your method of payment on your Account page to start being billed directly by Netflix.

Note:
At this time, you cannot update your method of payment from Google Play to a Netflix Gift Card.

Please note that if you cancel your account through Google Play after adding a new method of payment on your Account page, your Netflix account will be cancelled on your next renewal date.

How do I change my Netflix plan?

To change your Netflix plan, you must first go to your Account page and add a new payment method. Once your new payment method is charged on your next billing date, you will be able to update your Netflix plan.

Alternately, you can cancel your account through Google Play. Once your prepaid period has ended and your account has fully closed, you can rejoin Netflix using a different payment method and selecting your desired plan.

Can I redeem a promotional offer for Netflix if I pay through Google Play?

Promotional offers can't be used on an account that's billed through Google Play. Your Netflix promotion can be redeemed by first canceling your Netflix billing through Google Play, then redeeming your promotion once your current billing period has ended.

Can I redeem a Netflix or Google Play Gift Card on my account if I pay through Google Play?

You currently cannot redeem a Netflix Gift Card on an account that is being billed through Google Play. If you would like to use the Netflix Gift Card, you will need to cancel your Netflix account then restart your account using the gift card. Please note that you will need to wait until your account closes before you can restart it with a gift card.

If you currently pay through Google Play, you can use a Google Play gift card to pay for Netflix, provided Google Play offers and supports gift cards in your country.

No, you do not need to cancel your account through Google. After you update your method of payment on your Account page, you will no longer see additional charges from Google Play.
