Netflix Error 0041 on Android devices

If you experience the error code 0041 on devices that run the Android OS, it is typically caused by one of three things:

  • A connectivity or network problem.
  • An issue with some Netflix information stored on the device.
  • Out-of-date software.

Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

Clear the Netflix application data

Android 6.0 or higher:

  1. From the Android home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select General.
    • If you do not see General, continue to the next step.
  3. Select Apps.
  4. Select Manage Applications, Application Manager, or Manage All Apps.
  5. Select Netflix.
  6. Select Storage.
  7. Select Clear Data, then OK.
  8. Try Netflix again.

Android 5.9 or lower:

  1. From the Android home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select General.
