Netflix Error 0041

If you experience the error code 0041, it typically points to information stored on your device that needs to be refreshed, or to a connectivity issue. Follow the troubleshooting steps for your device below to resolve the issue.

Android phone or tablet

Clear the Netflix app data
  1. From the Home screen on your device, navigate to Settings.
  2. Select General.
    • If you don't see General, continue to the next step.
  3. Select Apps or Applications.
  4. Select Manage Applications, Application Manager, or Manage All Apps.
    • If you don't see these selections, continue to the next step.
  5. Scroll down and select Netflix.
    • If you don't see Netflix, check the Downloaded tab.
  6. Select Storage.
    • If you don't see Storage, continue to the next step
  7. Select Clear Data, then OK.
  8. Try Netflix again.

Troubleshoot network connection issues

If you're still not able to connect to Netflix, here are some steps to resolve network connection issues.

Kindle

Clear the Netflix app data
  1. Swipe downwards from the top edge of the screen to access Settings.
  2. Select Applications.
  3. Select Manage all Applications.
  4. Select Netflix.
  5. Select Clear Data.
  6. Once the data is cleared, hold the Power button on the side of the Kindle Fire HD.
  7. When you are prompted with the message Do you want to shut down your Kindle?, tap Power Off.
  8. Once the device is completely powered off, hold the Power button until you are presented with the Kindle Fire logo.
