Netflix interactive choices aren't working

If you can't select any choices while watching an interactive TV show or movie, it means the animation settings on your device might need to be changed. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.

Android phone or tablet

Turn on animations

  1. From your device's home screen, open Settings.

  2. Tap Accessibility.

    • If you don't see Accessibility, you might need to tap Device first.

  3. Make sure Remove animations is turned off.

  4. Try Netflix again.

Change animator settings

In these steps you will turn on and change developer options on your Android. This could cause issues on your device if it's done incorrectly. Netflix Customer Service can't help with this step. If you aren't comfortable changing these settings by yourself, ask your device manufacturer for help.

Check whether developer options are turned on

  1. From your device's home screen, open Settings.

  2. Select System > Advanced.

  3. Look for Developer options.

If Developer options is listed, go to "Set Animator settings to default."

If Developer options is not listed, go to "Turn on Developer options."

Turn on developer options

  1. Select About phone or About device.

  2. Scroll to Build number.

    • If you can't find Build number, it might be listed under Software info.

  3. Tap Build number 7 times.

    • You might be asked to enter your device's screen lock pattern, PIN, or password.

After you get a pop-up message that says "You are now a developer!" go to the next step below.

Set animator settings to default

  1. From your device's home screen, open Settings.

  2. Select System > Advanced.

  3. Select Developer options.

  4. Scroll down to the Drawing section, then select Animator duration scale.

  5. Select either Default or Animation scale 1x.

  6. Try Netflix again.
