Netflix Error F7053-1803

If you experience the error code F7053-1803 on your computer, often accompanied by the following message:

Unexpected Error
There was an unexpected error. Please reload the page and try again.

It typically points to an issue with your Firefox browser being in Incognito Mode, or to corrupted storage data. Follow the troubleshooting steps for your device below to resolve the issue.

Windows

Turn off private browsing

  1. Close the Firefox browser and reopen it.

  2. Try Netflix again.

Clear the Netflix cookie from your web browser

  1. Go to netflix.com/clearcookies to clear the Netflix cookie; this will sign you out of your account.

  2. Select Sign In and enter your Netflix email and password.

  3. Try Netflix again.

Enable cookies in Firefox

  1. Select the Menu icon menu from the upper right corner.

  2. Select Options.

  3. Select Privacy from the menu on the left.

  4. Under History, locate the Firefox will: drop-down menu and select Remember history.

  5. Close the tab and try Netflix again.

Refresh Firefox

Note:
If you complete this step, you will lose modified browser preferences such as extensions and themes, website permissions, and toolbar customization.
  1. Select the Menu icon menu icon from the upper right corner.

  2. Select Help or firefox help icon.

  3. Select Troubleshooting information.

  4. Select Refresh Firefox.

  5. Once the refresh is complete, try Netflix again.

Check available storage

Windows 7

  1. Click on the Windows icon to launch the Start menu.

  2. Select Computer from the options on the right.

  3. A screen displaying Hard Disk Drives will appear, with information about available storage space. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.

Windows 8

  1. Bring up the Charms Bar by swiping from the right or moving your mouse to the upper right corner of the screen.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Change PC Settings.

  4. Select General.

  5. Select Available Storage.

  6. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.

Windows 10

  1. Click on the Windows icon to launch the Start menu.

  2. Select Settings from the options on the left.

  3. Select System.

  4. Select Storage.

  5. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.

Mac

Turn off private browsing

  1. Close the Firefox browser and reopen it.

  2. Try Netflix again.

Enable cookies in Firefox

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Select Privacy from the menu on the left.

  4. Under History, locate the Firefox will: drop-down menu and select Remember history.

  5. Close the tab and try Netflix again.
