How to uninstall the Netflix app on Android devices

To uninstall the Netflix app on your Android phone or tablet, follow the steps below. Uninstalling the Netflix app will delete any TV shows or movies you have downloaded to the device.

Most Android devices

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Search for Netflix.

  3. From the Netflix app store page, select Uninstall.

    • Uninstalling the Netflix app will delete any TV shows and movies you have downloaded to the device.

  4. To confirm, select OK.

You can reinstall Netflix at any time.

Amazon Fire Phone

  1. Begin on the home screen.

  2. Swivel your phone or swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Actions panel.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select Manage Applications.

  5. Select Netflix.

  6. Select Uninstall.

  7. Select OK to confirm.

You can reinstall Netflix at any time.

Kindle

Kindle Fire devices running Netflix 3.16 or 4.16 cannot be reinstalled after uninstalling. If you plan to use the Netflix app on this device, you can clear the device's file system but don't uninstall the app.
  1. Select Apps.

  2. Press and hold the Netflix icon.

  3. Select Remove from device.

  4. Select OK.

Nook

Note:
Erasing and deregistering does not delete any of the content from your Barnes & Noble account. You will be able to re-download it even after erasing and deregistering.
Erasing and deregistering does delete any files you transferred from your computer to your Nook Color. Be sure to back up these files before performing the steps below.
  1. At the bottom of the screen, tap the white arrow in the middle of the Quick Nav bar.

  2. Tap the Settings icon.

  3. Tap Device Info.

  4. Tap Erase & Deregister Device.

  5. Tap Erase & Deregister Device again.

  6. Tap Reset Nook.

  7. Once the Nook has reset and restarted, follow the onscreen instructions to connect to your Barnes & Noble account.

After you uninstall the app, you can relaunch it at any time to continue watching.
