How to use Netflix on your Hisense TV or streaming media player

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your Hisense TV or streaming media player. If you don't know if Netflix works on your device, follow the steps in the “Set up Netflix” section.

Netflix is available on many Hisense devices. Streaming features on supported devices include:

Supported regions
Netflix is available on Hisense TVs and streaming media players in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

To connect your Hisense TV or Hisense Google TV streaming media player to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and select the option below that best describes your device.

Netflix is available on Hisense TVs and streaming media players in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

If you see the Hicast@ button on your Hisense remote

  1. Press the Hicast@ button on your Hisense remote.

  2. Select Netflix.

  3. Select Member sign in.

  4. Enter the email and password associated with your Netflix account.

  5. Select Continue.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

If you wish to start over and/or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, enter the following sequence using the arrow keys on your controller:

  • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

  • Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

If you see the All Apps button on your Hisense remote

  1. Press the All Apps button on your Hisense remote.

  2. Select Netflix.

  3. Select Member sign in.

  4. Enter the email and password associated with your Netflix account.

  5. Select Continue.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

If you wish to start over and/or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, enter the following sequence using the arrow keys on your controller:

  • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

  • Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

If you're using a Hisense Roku TV

  1. From the home screen, choose Netflix.

  2. Select Sign In.​

    • If you don't see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

    • If you're not a member, set up your membership.

  3. Enter your member email address and select next.

  4. Enter your account password and select sign in.

  5. Select Start.

Your device is now connected.

If you wish to start over and/or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, enter the following sequence using the arrow keys on your controller:

  • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

  • Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow the steps below.

Sign out through your Hisense device

  1. Start from the Home screen.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Applications.

    • ​​If Applications is missing, go to Network > Applications.

  4. Select Netflix, then select Deactivate.

If you don't have the options above, follow the steps below.

Sign out through Netflix

  1. Begin from the Netflix home screen.

  2. Navigate left to open the menu, then select Settings.

    • If you don't see the menu, navigate up and select Settings or the gear icon gear icon .

  3. Select Sign out.

  4. Select Yes to confirm.

You'll now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.

If you can't find Settings or the gear icon:

  1. From within the Netflix app, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence:
    Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

  2. Select Sign out, Start Over, Deactivate, or Reset.

You'll now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.

If you're using a Hisense Roku TV

  1. Begin from the Netflix home screen.

  2. Navigate left to open the menu, then select Settings.

    • If you don't see the menu, navigate up and select Settings or the gear icon gear icon .

  3. Select Sign out.

  4. Select Yes to confirm.

You'll now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.

If you can't find Settings or the gear icon:

  1. From within the Netflix app, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence:
    Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

  2. Select Sign out, Start Over, Deactivate, or Reset.

You'll now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on most Hisense Ultra HD TVs. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

Netflix is available in Dolby Vision and HDR on select Hisense TVs. To stream in Dolby Vision or HDR, you will need:

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Netflix. (If you're using an HDR-capable Blu-ray player, you'll need to connect it to an HDR-capable Smart TV via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later - usually the HDMI 1 port.)

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A steady internet connection speed of 25 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to Auto or High.
