Netflix says 'Unable to Purchase.'
If you get an error on your iPhone or iPad with the message:
Unable to Purchase
"Netflix" is not compatible with this device
It typically indicates that your device isn't compatible with the most recent version of the Netflix app. Follow the steps below to check your iOS version to see if you can download Netflix on this device.
Check your iOS version
To get the latest version of the Netflix app, your iPhone or iPad must have iOS/iPadOS 18 or later installed.
To check the version:
Go to Settings.
Scroll down and select General.
Select About.
Your version number will be listed next to Version.
If your iOS version is between iOS 12 and iOS 17, you may be able to get the Netflix app if you've downloaded it before. If you've never downloaded the Netflix app, you'll need to use another device to watch Netflix.
