How to use Netflix on your Meta Portal TV

Use this article to learn about Netflix on your Meta (Facebook) Portal TV, including how to set up and sign out of your account.

Note:You can watch Netflix on the Meta Portal TV, but not on other Meta devices.

To connect your Meta Portal TV to your Netflix account, follow these steps.

  1. Select Netflix.

  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

  1. Begin from your TV home screen.

  2. Press the Netflix button on your remote.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Netflix home screen and press the back button on your remote to get to the menu.

  2. If the menu is at the top: Go left to your profile icon, select Get Help, then Sign out, then select Yes.

    If the menu is on the left: At the bottom, select Get Help, then Sign out, then select Yes.

    Note:If you don't see Get Help, go up and select Settings.

If you can't find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out:

  1. Using your remote, press these buttons in this order: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

  2. On the menu that appears, select Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on Meta Portal TV. To stream in Ultra HD, you need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A TV compatible with Ultra HD streaming from Netflix, connected to your Meta Portal TV via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 25 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

Netflix is available in HDR on the Meta Portal TV. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in HDR.

  • A streaming device that supports HDR.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision, HDR10, or HDR10+ connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Playback settings set to High.
