Netflix Error S7336

If you get the error code S7336 on your computer, next to the following message:

Pardon the interruption
Looks like there's an issue with your display. Please make sure your monitor is HDCP compliant and isn't mirrored using AirPlay. Contact Apple Support for more information.

It usually means the video cable connecting your computer to your display is stopping Netflix from playing. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.

Use a supported video cable

Make sure you're using a supported video cable type:

Note:
If you're using a video cable adapter, both ends of the connection must also be a supported type.
  • HDMI, or HDMI Mini

  • USB-C (also known as Type C)

  • Thunderbolt

  • DisplayPort, or DisplayPort Mini

If you're still having a problem and your video connection is supported, or you're not using an external display, continue to the steps below.

Restart your computer

  1. Shut down your computer through the menu:

    • For Mac: At the top left, click the Apple menu > Shut Down.

    • For Windows: From the Start menu, click Power > Shut down.

    • For Chromebook: From the bottom right, click on the time > Sign out > Shut down.

  2. Leave your computer off for at least 10 seconds.

  3. Turn it back on, then try Netflix again.
