Netflix says 'Device failure occurred. (500.-1025)'

You might get the error code 500.-1025 with this message:

Device failure occurred. Please try again (500.-1025).

This error on your Android phone or tablet means a data issue with your device stopped Netflix from working.

To fix the problem:

  1. Go to your device's home screen or apps list.

  2. Tap and hold the app, then tap App info.

  3. Tap Force stop > OK.

  4. Reopen the app, then try again.
