Using Netflix on your Sanyo TV
Welcome to Netflix on your Sanyo TV! Use this article to learn about Netflix features and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you’re unsure if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps on the “Set up Netflix” tab to attempt to locate the Netflix app.
Netflix is available on many Sanyo devices.
On most devices, Netflix lets you browse through rows of movies and TV shows, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category (Comedy, Drama, TV shows, etc) that we present to you based on what you’ve watched. More information about how we recommend and display movies on your device can be found here.
Older devices may not have rows of movie categories, but do allow you to scroll through My List, which you can create using the Netflix website.
Netflix is available on Sanyo TVs in the US.
Most devices are capable of streaming Netflix in high definition on fast Internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution (see our Internet Connection Speed recommendations for more information).
Subtitles & Alternate Audio:
Learn how to enable subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many movies and TV shows. To check if your device supports 5.1 audio, go to any Netflix Original to see if there is a 5.1 audio option. If not, your device does not support this feature. Many devices will let you customize the appearance of subtitles and captions. Older devices will display subtitles and captions in their default appearance or are not configured to display subtitles.
To connect your Sanyo TV to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and follow the steps below.
- Press the NET button on the remote control.
- Select the Netflix app.
- Select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.
- A code will appear. Enter this activation code at Netflix.com/Activate.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!
If you wish to start over and/or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, enter the following sequence using the arrow keys on your controller:
- Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up
- Select Start Over or Deactivate.
To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow the steps below.
- From within the Netflix application, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence:
- Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
- Select Sign out or Deactivate.
- You will now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.
*If you are unable to bring up the screen to sign out or deactivate, please make sure you are using the remote that came with your device as some universal remotes may not work correctly to enter the sequence.
Note: If you no longer have direct access to this device, visit the Your Account page and select Sign out of all devices.
