Netflix Error F7701-1003

We're having trouble playing Netflix.
Please make sure you're using the latest version of Firefox and try again.
Error Code F7701-1003

The error code F7701-1003 can happen on your Firefox browser for any of these reasons:

  • Private Browsing mode is turned on. Watching Netflix on Firefox in Private Browsing mode isn't supported.

  • Settings on your browser stop Netflix from playing.

  • Your browser needs an update to a newer version.

To fix the problem:

  1. Close the tab or window where Netflix is open.

  2. Open a new tab, then try Netflix again.

If Private Browsing mode is turned on every time you open a new tab or window, go to the next steps.

  1. In the upper right, click Menu, then click Settings.

  2. On the left, click Privacy & Security.

  3. Scroll down to History. Next to Firefox will, click the drop-down menu.

  4. Choose Remember history, then click Restart Firefox now.

  5. Try Netflix again.

  2. Click Settings, then scroll down to Firefox Updates.

  3. Click Restart to Update Firefox. If you see the message "Firefox is up to date," your browser is already on the latest version.

  4. Try Netflix again.

If you have trouble updating Firefox or get an Update Failed error, follow Mozilla's steps to fix a software update issue.

  1. In the upper right corner of the browser, click Menu.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Scroll down to Digital Rights Management (DRM) Content.

  4. Make sure Play DRM-controlled content is checked. If it isn't, click the box to turn it on.

  5. Restart Firefox, then try Netflix again.

  3. From the right, click Settings, then click Check for Updates.

  4. Install any available updates, then try Netflix again.

This error can happen if a custom version of Firefox is installed on your computer.

To make sure you're using an official version:

  1. Follow the steps to uninstall Firefox from your computer.

  2. Download and install the latest official version of Firefox:

  3. Try Netflix again.
