Audio Descriptions won't turn off

If you can't turn off Audio Descriptions, it usually means a setting on your device needs to be changed.

To fix the problem, follow the steps for your device.

  1. From your device's home screen, tap Settings.

  2. Tap General > Accessibility > Audio Descriptions.

  3. Change the setting to Off.

  4. Return to the Netflix app and start playing a movie or TV show.

  5. While a movie or TV show is playing, swipe down on the Apple TV remote.

  6. Tap Audio in the lower right.

  7. Choose an option that doesn't contain Audio Description.

  8. Close out of the screen by tapping the X.

  9. Play your movie or TV show for at least 5 minutes to save this setting to your Netflix profile.

  1. From your device's home screen, tap Settings.

  2. Tap Accessibility > Audio Descriptions.

  3. Make sure the Audio Descriptions setting is turned off.

  4. Return to the Netflix app and start playing a movie or TV show.

  5. While a movie or TV show is playing, tap anywhere on the iOS device screen.

  6. Tap Audio & Subtitles at the bottom of the screen.

  7. In the Audio column, make sure your selected audio option doesn't contain Audio Description.

  8. Close out of the screen by tapping the X.

  9. Play your movie or TV show for at least 5 minutes to save your settings.
