Netflix Error C7121-1331

If you see the error code C7121-1331 on your Google Chromebook or Chromebox, it usually means there’s an issue with the version of Chrome you’re using. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Connect your computer to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Updates cannot be installed while connected via a cellular network.

  2. Click on the status area (in the lower right corner, where your account picture appears).

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select About Chrome OS from the menu on the left side of the page.

  5. Select Check for and apply updates.

  6. Your computer will install any necessary updates. Once the updates are installed, select Restart to update.

  7. After your computer has restarted, try Netflix again.

Warning: Changing from an experimental channel to a stable channel will delete everything from your Chromebook. This includes downloaded files, photos, owner permissions, and saved networks for all accounts. You’ll have to sign in with your Google Account again.

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook with the owner account.

  2. At the bottom right, select the time.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. In the bottom left, select About Chrome OS.

  5. Select Additional details.

  6. Next to "Channel," select Change channel.

  7. Select Stable.

  8. Select Change channel.

  9. Try Netflix again.

  3. Select About Chrome OS at the top of the page to view your version.

    • If your version is 68.0.3440.117 or lower, you will need to contact your device manufacturer for assistance updating your Chrome version to 68.0.3440.118 or higher. If you're unable to update Chrome you'll need to use a different Netflix-enabled device to continue streaming.
