Podcasts are available across all our plans at no additional cost.
Finding and watching
Search for a specific podcast on Netflix or enter the search term “podcast”. You can also select the Podcast shortcut (TVs and mobile devices) or visit the podcast hub to see all available and upcoming titles. Podcasts appear just like shows and movies on Netflix.
New episodes are available according to the podcast’s release schedule (e.g., daily or weekly). Check the podcast's title details page for upcoming episodes and their release dates.
Note: Unlike most shows and movies on Netflix that release at 12:00 a.m. Pacific or local time, exact podcast episode release timing will vary.
Many podcast episodes make it easy to jump directly to specific topics or segments while watching. After starting an episode, you can navigate through Chapters by hovering over the playback bar or selecting the Chapters button above the playback bar.
Ads
Podcasts may contain limited commercial content across all our plans.
Audio and subtitle languages
Podcasts have limited audio and subtitle language availability, but will include English subtitles at the time of release or shortly after.
Maturity ratings
Podcasts include maturity ratings similar to those found on shows and movies on Netflix. Learn more about maturity ratings on Netflix.
Downloads
Podcasts can be downloaded for offline viewing on supported devices, just like shows and movies on Netflix.
Background playback
You can continue watching podcasts outside the Netflix app on your Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad by using the Picture-in-Picture feature on your device. You can also access background playback by locking your screen while watching and then tapping play to continue listening to the episode.
Note: Picture-in-Picture and background playback aren't available on ad-supported plans.
Playback speed
You can adjust the playback speed while watching podcasts in a web browser or in the Netflix app on your Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad.
Note: Playback speed controls aren't available while casting or mirroring from a mobile device or when watching in a web browser on ad-supported plans.
Clipping and sharing
Podcasts can be clipped to save, rewatch, and share when watching with the Netflix app on Android phones and tablets, iPhone, and iPad.
Supported devices
Podcasts are available on any device that supports watching Netflix.
Note: A few TVs and TV streaming devices aren’t compatible with podcasts because the Netflix app or software on the device can’t be updated to a supported version. If you're getting an error message when trying to watch, you’ll need to watch podcasts on a different device.
