How to change the appearance of subtitles and closed captions

1. Using a browser, go to your Account page.

2. Select Profiles, then choose a profile.

3. Select Subtitle appearance.

   Note:The subtitle appearance option isn't available in some countries with the following primary languages, even if a profile is set to a different language: Arabic and Hebrew. Selected appearance options also might not show on some older devices.

4. Choose your subtitle appearance settings.

5. Select Save.

6. Open the Netflix app on your device to start watching with your new subtitle appearance.

   Note:If you're using a TV or streaming device, open the Netflix app and select Settings, then Get Help, then Reload for the changes to take effect. Subtitle appearance may not be available for certain languages on some TV devices.

1. Open the Netflix app, then start playing a TV show or movie.

2. Pause Netflix, then select the player controls at the bottom of the screen.

3. Select Settings to adjust subtitle Size and Style.

   If Settings isn't shown, it means your device doesn't support changing the subtitle appearance of your language.

4. Choose your Size and Style preferences.

5. Resume playing the title.

1. Open the Netflix app.

2. In the lower right, tap My Netflix.

3. In the upper right, tap the Menu.

4. Tap Manage Profiles.

5. Select the profile you want to edit.

6. Tap Subtitle Appearance.

7. Choose your subtitle appearance settings. The new settings will automatically save.

8. To reset, tap Restore Default Settings.
