You can change the font, size, shadow, and background color of subtitles and closed captions.
To change the appearance of subtitles and closed captions:
From a web browser, go to your Netflix Account page.
From Profile & Parental Controls, select a profile.
Select Change for Subtitle appearance.
Choose your subtitle appearance settings.
Save changes.
Open the Netflix app on your device.
To change subtitle and closed caption appearance on Apple devices:
To adjust the subtitle and closed caption appearance on your Apple TV:
From the device home screen, select Settings.
Select General.
Select Accessibility.
Enable Closed Captions + SDH.
Select Style and choose your preferred subtitle and closed caption appearance.
To adjust the subtitle and closed caption appearance on your Apple TV:
From the device home screen, select Settings.
Select General.
Select Accessibility.
Select Subtitles and Captioning.
Enable Closed Captions + SDH.
From this screen, you'll be able to customize the appearance of subtitles and closed captions under Style.
If you create a new style, make sure that Video Override is turned off within the Font, Size, Color, and Opacity options.
To adjust the subtitle and closed caption appearance on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
From the device home screen, select Settings.
Select Accessibility.
Select Subtitles & Captioning.
Use the slider to enable Closed Captions + SDH.
From this screen, you'll be able to customize the appearance of subtitles and closed captions under Style.
If you create a new style, make sure that Video Override is turned off within the Font, Size, Color, and Opacity options.
