How to use 'Download Next Episode'

To automatically download the next episode of a TV series, use Download Next Episode. When you finish watching a downloaded episode, we'll delete it from your device and automatically download the next episode in the series.

The very last episode of a series isn't automatically deleted after you watch it.

Turn Download Next Episode on or off

1. Open the Netflix app.

2. In the lower right, tap My Netflix.

3. In the upper right, tap the Menu.

4. Tap App Settings.

5. Under Downloads, tap Smart Downloads.

6. Toggle the switch next to Download Next Episode to turn the setting on or off.

Download Next Episode:

• Is available on Android phones and tablets, iPhone, and iPad devices with the latest version of the Netflix app installed.

• Works when connected to a Wi-Fi network, so your mobile data isn't used.

• Won't take up more storage space other than what your downloads have already used.

If the next episode doesn't download, try these steps:

• Make sure Download Next Episode is turned on.

• Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.

• Check if the series has more episodes to download.
