Netflix says 'Sorry, we could not reach the Netflix service. (12002)'
If you see an error that says:
Sorry, we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please visit the Netflix website (12002).
It means your Android phone or tablet needs an update. To fix the issue, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
The Netflix Mobile Plan only works on devices that have Android version 7 or later installed.
To check your Android version:
Open the Settings app.
Select About phone or About tablet.
Look for the number under Android version.
Note: These steps may vary by version or manufacturer. If you can't find your Android version number, contact your device's manufacturer for help.
If your Android version is 4.4.4 or earlier, you'll need to update to a newer version to continue watching on the Mobile Only plan. You can change your plan at any time by going to the Plan Details section of your Account page.
