How to use Netflix on your Nest Hub

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your Nest Hub and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you don't know if Netflix works on your device, follow the steps in the Set Up Netflix section.

Netflix is available on Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max models. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation

Your Nest Hub offers 3 ways to watch Netflix.

  1. Cast from your Android mobile device, Apple mobile device, or your computer from a Chrome browser with the Google Cast extension installed.

  2. Use voice-activated controls to ask the Google Assistant to open Netflix and play TV shows or movies.

  3. Tap the Nest Hub touchscreen to choose from a selection of recommended titles and control playback.

Resolution
Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max stream Netflix TV shows and movies up to 720p.

Subtitles and audio
Nest Hub supports subtitles, alternative audio (dubbing, other languages), and 2.0 channel audio when available.

Google Assistant

Control playback or play a title using Google Assistant to connected Nest Hub, Chromecast, and compatible Cast devices.

For help getting started with your Nest Hub and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network, see support.google.com/googlenest or contact Google customer support.

Cast to the hub:

  1. Open Netflix on your mobile device.

  2. Once you’re signed in, select Cast .

  3. Select Nest Hub from the list of available devices.

  4. Select a TV show or movie to watch and tap Play.

Set up the Google Assistant:

  1. On your mobile device, download and open the Google Home app.

  2. Connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Nest Hub.

  3. Open the Google Home app and tap the + icon in the top left corner.

  4. Tap Videos, look for Netflix, and tap Link.

  5. Follow the prompts to sign in and link your Netflix account.

Nest Hub and Google Assistant are now connected to your Netflix account for touch-enabled and voice-activated controls.

Google Assistant uses the Netflix account information stored in the Google Home app on your Android or Apple mobile device. To disconnect from your Netflix account:

  1. Open the Google Home app and tap the + icon in the top left corner.

  2. Tap Videos, look for Netflix, and tap Unlink.
