Subtitle and caption appearance doesn't change

If you change your subtitle and caption appearance but the update doesn't take effect, follow the steps for your device below to fix the problem.

Android phone or tablet

Switch Netflix profiles

  1. While in the Netflix app, tap More menu or your Profile icon profile icon.

  2. From the top of the screen, tap a different Netflix profile.

    • If you don't have another profile, tap Manage Profiles > Add Profile to make a new one.

  3. Once the profile has finished loading, use the above steps again to select your original profile.

  4. Try Netflix again.

Smart TV

Reload the Netflix app
  1. From the home screen, press Left to open up the app menu.

  2. Select Get Help near the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select Reload Netflix.

  4. Try Netflix again.

All other devices
