How to update a Netflix Household
A Netflix Household is a collection of devices connected to the internet at the main place where you watch Netflix. When you sign in to Netflix from any device on the same internet connection as your TV, it will automatically be associated with your Netflix Household. If you get an error message on your device, you may need to update your Netflix Household.
Update your Netflix Household
You can update your Netflix Household when signed in to Netflix from most TVs connected to your internet. If you don’t watch Netflix on a TV or don’t have one, you do not need to establish a Netflix Household for your account.
Note: These steps should only take about 8 minutes.
From the Netflix home screen on your TV, press the back button
on your remote (Menu button on an Apple TV) to access the menu.
If the menu is at the top, go left to your profile icon. If the menu is on the left, go to the bottom.
Select Get Help or Settings, then Manage Netflix Household.

Note: If you don't see Manage Netflix Household on the menu, you will need to use a different TV device.Select Update Netflix Household.
Select Send Email. A verification link will be sent to the account email address. Verification links expire after 15 minutes.

Note: If there is no email address on the account, you will have an option to Send Text to the phone number on the account. If you do not receive the verification link by email, click Resend Email.
Select Yes, This Was Me in the email, then Confirm Update to continue.

You will receive a confirmation email and your TV will refresh so you can start watching.

If these steps didn't work, there may be another device connected to your Netflix Household that is causing the issue. This can happen if you are still signed in to your account from a recent hotel stay or someone else's home, for example. To fix the issue:
See which devices are signed in to your account and sign out of unrecognized devices or select Sign out of All Devices.
Follow the steps above again to update the Netflix Household.
NOTE: "Internet connection” refers to your wired or wireless internet connection. If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks, we may only associate one with your Netflix Household. If you want to watch Netflix on a device that is connected to a Wi-Fi network using a different ISP account or that has a different external IP address, you may be asked to verify that device as part of your Netflix Household. Make sure to update your Netflix Household from a device that is connected to your preferred or most used internet connection.
