Live events on Netflix

Watch comedy specials, reunions, and other events that stream live as they happen on Netflix. Live events allow you to rewind, pause, play from the beginning, or jump to live at any point during the livestream and can also be watched afterwards.

You can watch live on most newer devices, including

  • Smart TVs

  • Streaming media players

  • Android phones and tablets

  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

  • Computer browsers

  • Game consoles

Make sure your device is running the latest version of the Netflix app to watch live.

If watching live isn't supported on your device, these events are made available a few days after to watch anytime like other titles.

Upcoming & past live events

Upcoming events:

  • The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards live event on February 24, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time / 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time

    • Livestream available in English with English closed captioning

To get notified when the live event or episode is available, use the Remind Me feature. By setting a reminder, the title will also appear in My List when it becomes available to watch live. You can also search for the title when it’s time to watch live or following the livestream.

Past live events:

Can’t find a live event

Some live events may be unavailable to watch live due to your profile language settings.

Live events can be watched in the days following the livestream, once subtitles are complete and available for your viewing language.

Supported devices

Most newer devices are supported.

  • If you’re seeing a message that an app update is needed, you may also want to check that your operating system is up to date.

  • If you're getting a message that your device doesn’t support livestreaming, you’ll need to use a different device to watch live.

  • Casting or mirroring from a mobile device or Chrome browser isn’t supported when watching live. You can still watch the livestream on your supported mobile device or in a Chrome browser.

TVs, game consoles, and streaming players that connect to TVs
Make sure the device is updated. If you're not sure how to update the system software on your device, check your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer.

Android phones and tablets
Requires Android 7 or later and the latest Netflix app version from the Google Play Store. See How to update the Netflix app on your Android device.

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Requires iOS/iPadOS 15 or later and the latest Netflix app version from the App Store. See How to update the Netflix app on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Computers
You can watch live in your browser. To make sure you have the latest browser version, see Netflix supported browsers.

Not supported:

  • Apple TV 1st - 3rd generation (though Apple TV HD and 4K models are supported with tvOS 16.1 or later and the latest Netflix app version from the App Store)

  • Chromecast 1st - 3rd generation and Ultra (though Chromecast with Google TV models are supported)

  • The Netflix app on Windows computers and tablets (though you can play in a browser)

  • PlayStation 3 game console

There are a small number of devices not listed above that don't support watching live. This is typically because the Netflix app or software on the device can't be updated to a version that supports livestreaming, or is no longer actively supported.

If you don’t have a supported device, live events will typically be made available a few days after the livestream to watch just like other titles on Netflix. You'll see a message that your device doesn't support livestreaming until then.

Note:
The title won’t be available immediately following the livestream if your profile language settings are different from the original language of the live event. Once subtitles are complete and available in your preferred viewing language, you’ll be able to watch.
