Live events on Netflix: WWE and more

Live events are included on all Netflix plans, allowing you to watch what everyone is talking about the moment it happens! Enjoy sports, comedy stand-ups, award shows, and other special events that stream live on Netflix. Live events allow you to rewind, pause, play from the beginning, or jump to live at any point during the livestream and can also be watched afterward.

You can watch live on most newer devices, including

  • Smart TVs

  • Streaming media players

  • Android phones and tablets

  • iPhone and iPad

  • Mac and Windows computers

  • Game consoles

Make sure your device is running the latest version of the Netflix app to watch live.

If watching live isn't supported on your device, these events are available a few days later for you to watch anytime, like other titles.

Note: Some events may be available to watch for a limited time after the livestream.

Live events, special events or other new features may contain commercial breaks across all our plans. TV shows and movies that are not live are free of commercial breaks on ad-free experiences, but they may have other types of commercial content.

Following the end of a live event, commercial breaks will be removed on ad-free experiences.

Note: In some cases within ad-free experiences, ads may be present for a short amount of time after the event is live, but can be fast-forwarded through.

Upcoming events:

WWE

  • WWE Raw coming January 6, 2025

  • WWE NXT coming January 7, 2025

  • WWE SmackDown coming January 10, 2025

  • Additional premium live events to be announced

  • Livestream available languages: Arabic, English, French, Hindi, Indonesian (Bahasa), Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Castilian), Spanish (Latin America); English closed captioning

Note: WWE live events are currently available in select countries.

Recent live events:

  • NFL Christmas Gameday: Ravens vs. Texans (was live on December 25, 2024)

  • NFL Christmas Gameday: Chiefs vs. Steelers (was live on December 25, 2024)

  • Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson (was live November 15, 2024)

Note: The Christmas Gameday games expire from Netflix and will no longer be available to watch 3 hours after each game ends (in the US) and 24 hours after each game ends (in other countries).

Use the Remind Me feature to get notified when a live event or episode is available. By setting a reminder, the title will also appear in the My List section on your device when it becomes available to watch live. You can also search for the title when it’s time to watch live or after the livestream.

Each live event may have limited audio and subtitle language availability during the livestream. After the event is live, additional audio and subtitle languages will be available (typically a few days after the livestream), just like other titles on Netflix.

Most newer devices are supported.

  • If you’re seeing a message that an app update is needed, you may also want to check that your operating system is up to date.

  • If you're getting a message that your device doesn’t support livestreaming, you’ll need to use a different device to watch live.

  • Casting or mirroring from a mobile device or Chrome browser isn’t supported when watching live. You can still watch the livestream on your supported mobile device or in a Chrome browser.

TVs, game consoles, and streaming players that connect to TVs
Make sure the device is updated. If you're not sure how to update the system software on your device, check your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer.

Android phones and tablets
Requires Android 7 or later and the latest Netflix app version from the Google Play Store. See How to update the Netflix app on your Android device.

iPhone and iPad
Requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later and the latest Netflix app version from the App Store. Learn how to update your iPhone or iPad.

Computers
You can watch live in your browser or with the Netflix app for Windows 10 and later. To make sure you have the latest browser version, see Netflix supported browsers and system requirements.

Not supported:

  • Chromecast 1st - 3rd generation and Ultra (though Chromecast with Google TV models are supported)

  • PlayStation 3 game console

There are a small number of devices not listed above that don't support watching live. This is typically because the Netflix app or software on the device can't be updated to a version that supports livestreaming, or is no longer actively supported.

If you don’t have a supported device, live events will typically be made available a few days after the livestream to watch just like other titles on Netflix. You'll see a message that your device doesn't support livestreaming until then.

Note:The title won’t always be available immediately following the livestream if your profile language settings are different from the original language of the live event. Once subtitles are complete and available in your preferred viewing language, you’ll be able to watch.
