How to add or update a payment method

Netflix-billed members can add or update payment methods with the following steps:

1. Go to the Manage payment info page.

   Note:

   Payment methods cannot be managed within the Netflix App.

2. Update your payment method by selecting the Update button next to it. 

3. Add a new payment method by selecting + Add Payment Method.

Adding more than one payment method

• The Preferred badge will display next to the payment method to be used for your monthly Netflix subscription

  Note:

  If you have redeemed a Netflix Gift Card, the gift card balance will be consumed first before the Preferred payment method will be charged.

• Any additional payment methods on your account will be used as backup payment methods. Backup payment methods will only be charged if your Preferred payment method is declined.

  Note:

  Not all payment methods can be used as backup payment methods. 

• To change your Preferred payment method:

  • Select the three dots to the right of the Update button on the payment method you wish to make Preferred. 

  • Select Make Preferred. 

• To remove additional payment methods:

  • Select the three dots to the right of the Update button on the payment method you wish to remove.
