Games Moderation Appeals
We apply sanctions to accounts to maintain a respectful and fair environment for all players as outlined in our Community Guidelines. To validate reported behavior, our moderation team follows specific review procedures before taking action on an account:
Human moderators manually review player behavior and submitted reports.
We base all actions on verified Community Guidelines violations.
We do not rely solely on automated systems to apply sanctions against players.
We evaluate actual player behavior. Sanctions are based on verified violations, not the number of reports received.
While most actions we take on accounts are warnings or temporary suspensions, some violations result in permanent bans. If your account received a sanction, you may submit a formal appeal for review.
We strongly recommend that you do not change your game handle after receiving a sanction. If you update your handle, we may not be able to process your appeal.
How to Submit an Appeal
Follow the instructions found in the help articles for your specific game (e.g. Squid Game: Unleashed), if available.
Enter your game handle and account details.
Select the specific sanction and reason you are appealing.
Submit the form.
Alternatively, contact Netflix Games Support with the required information.
Appeal Requirements
When requesting an appeal, you'll need to share the following:
Requirement | Description |
Game Handle | Your exact in-game handle. |
Sanction Date | The date the penalty was applied. |
Sanction Type | The specific penalty received (e.g., 7-day suspension). |
Appeal Reason | Why you think your sanction should be reversed. |
What to Expect
The moderation team reviews the evidence associated with every submitted appeal.
Timeline: We aim to complete most reviews within 3 business days.
Notification: We will contact you with the outcome via the email address on file for your account.
Finding Sanction Details
For details on the action taken on your account, check your in-game messages or account email. All details are set out in those messages as our support team doesn't have any more information on the actions taken, and can't answer individual questions about them.
Appeal Policy
Review Limit: We will review one appeal per sanction to ensure every player has an equal opportunity for a review.
Final Decisions: To maintain the integrity of our community standards, all appeal reviews are final. We do not provide follow-up communication or further reviews once a decision is issued.
