I can't get 2nd Screen to work.

  1. Do you have the latest version of the Apple mobile or Android operating system?

    • Apple devices require iOS 6.0 or higher.

    • Android phones, the Kindle Fire, and the Nook require Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) or higher.

    • All other Android tablets require Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) or higher.

  2. Do you have the latest Netflix app downloaded to your TV?

    • Update the Netflix app on your TV if you haven't already done so.

    • This feature is available on many devices manufactured in 2014 or later. If there are no updates available for your device and you are unable to use your mobile device to control your TV, this feature may not be available.

  3. Is your phone or tablet connected to the same wireless network as your TV?

    • Netflix 2nd Screen does not work over your cellular service.

  4. Is your router, modem, or gateway set to multicast?

    • Your router, modem, or gateway owner's manual or manufacturer should have instructions for enabling multicast.

I'm not getting the option on my phone or tablet to stream to the Netflix app on my TV.

  1. Is your phone or tablet connected to the same wireless network as your TV?

    • Netflix 2nd Screen does not work over your cellular service or over separate wireless networks.

  2. Are you are signed in to the same account on both your TV and your phone or tablet?

    • You need to be signed in to the same Netflix account on both devices in order for 2nd Screen to work.

I have more than one TV, can I use 2nd Screen to control them?

Yes, you can use 2nd Screen to control the Netflix app on more than one TV, but not at the same time: Connecting 2nd Screen to another TV will disconnect it from your current TV.
