Netflix says 'There is a problem playing the video. (5.2)'

If you see an error on your Android phone or tablet that says

There is a problem playing the video. Please try again. (5.2)

It usually means that your device needs to be refreshed. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Go to your device's home screen or apps list.

  2. Tap and hold the app, then tap App info.

  3. Tap Force stop > OK.

  4. Reopen the app, then try again.
