Customers in the United States can sign up for an eligible Comcast Xfinity package that includes a Netflix subscription.
Once you've signed up for an Xfinity package that includes Netflix, you'll want to link a new or existing Netflix account, which requires a Comcast Xfinity X1 set-top box.
Start by launching the Netflix app on your Comcast X1 set-top box; make sure you’re not launching the app from your Smart TV or another device. Follow the prompts to either link your existing Netflix account to your Xfinity package or create a new Netflix account to be linked to your Xfinity package.
If you have a Netflix DVD account, you must sign up for a streaming account with a different email address in order to link the account to Comcast Xfinity. You will not be able to retain your streaming history on this new account.
If you already have a streaming account tied to your DVD plan, this account will continue to be billed by your method of payment on file unless you cancel.
If you have a streaming account linked to Comcast Xfinity, you will be unable to add a DVD plan, and will have to sign up for the DVD plan with a separate email address.
If you cancel your Comcast Xfinity package or service, one of two things will happen:
If you have a previous valid Netflix method of payment (credit or debit card, for example) on file, you will continue to stream uninterrupted and we will charge your previous method of payment.
If you do not have a previous valid Netflix method of payment on file, your account will be placed on hold. To continue streaming, visit your Account page and add a new method of payment.
Once you link your account to your Comcast Xfinity package, your gift balance will be held on your account for future use. In the future, if you cancel your Comcast Xfinity package, we will continue to bill your Gift Card or promotional balance.
It's possible that you accidentally mistyped your email and created a duplicate account. To resolve this, try the following:
Launch the Netflix app on your Comcast X1 set-top box.
From the home screen, press the up arrow on your remote until you get to the Menu bar, and then select Settings.
Select Change email to see the email address you entered, and ensure it is typed correctly. If your email was not typed correctly, follow the steps under "I accidentally linked the wrong Netflix account to my Xfinity package. What do I do now?" to link your Xfinity package to the correct Netflix account.
If you no longer have the Comcast Xfinity package that includes Netflix and want to pay for Netflix directly, please visit netflix.com/youraccountpayment to switch to a new payment method.
If you would like to make changes to how you pay your Comcast bill, please contact Comcast directly.
If you upgrade to the Premium 4 Screen plan, the new price will be reflected on your Comcast Xfinity bill.
To unlink your Netflix account from your Comcast Xfinity Package and stop paying for Netflix through Comcast Xfinity, please contact Comcast customer support.
If you were a Netflix member before you linked your account to Comcast Xfinity, and you still have a valid Netflix method of payment on file, we will immediately resume billing your previous Netflix method of payment, and your streaming will continue uninterrupted. If you do not want to continue your Netflix membership, please contact us after you've cancelled with Comcast.
If you joined Netflix through Comcast Xfinity, your account will immediately go on hold. To continue streaming, you must visit your Netflix Account page and add a new payment method.
You can contact Comcast customer support at 1-800-934-6489. Be sure to tell the Comcast agent that you have Netflix through your Comcast Xfinity package.
