How to create a profile for kids

To manage the types of TV shows, movies, and games that kids and other people on your Netflix account can watch or play, you can create individual profiles with customized maturity ratings. Profiles can be added on devices made after 2013.

  1. Go to your Manage Profiles page using a device below:

    • TV or streaming device: Go to the profile selection screen, then choose Add Profile +

    • Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad: In the lower right of the Netflix app, tap My Netflix my netflix icon, tap your profile, then tap Manage Profiles .

    • Web browser: Go to your Manage Profiles page.

  2. Choose Add Profile

  3. Add a name to the profile. To use the Netflix Kids experience, select For Kids, Kids Profile, or Kid? depending on your device.

    • Kids profiles have a logo on the profile icon so they are easy to identify.

  4. Select Continue. The new profile will show on the list of profiles on your account.

If you can’t create a profile from your device or when using a mobile browser, visit netflix.com on a computer and follow the steps above.

Note:
The main profile on your Netflix account can't be set up as a Kids profile.

You can also edit an existing secondary profile using these devices.
