How to change the video quality of a download

Netflix offers different download video quality options to best fits your needs. 

• Standard: TV shows and movies takes less time to download and use less storage space. Downloads will play in standard resolution (SD) video quality.

• High/Higher: TV shows and movies take more time to download and use more storage space. Downloads will play in up to 1080p or high definition (HD) video quality.

  Note:

  Some devices don't support watching in HD. Some TV shows and movies aren't available in HD.

To change the download video quality setting on an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad:

1. Open the Netflix app.

2. In the lower right, tap My Netflix .

3. In the upper right, tap the Menu .

4. Tap App Settings .

5. Tap Download Video Quality or Video Quality .

6. Select either Standard or High/Higher.
