Requirements

To play Netflix Games, you’ll have to install them on your device first. You need:

    • Android phone or tablet running Android 8.0 or later

    • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS/iPadOS 15 or later

  • An active Netflix subscription

  • An internet connection to download, install, and play the game

  • Enough storage space on your device


Installation

Android phones & tablets

From the Netflix app

The Netflix app includes a Netflix Games row on the home screen and a Games tab at the bottom.

  1. From the home screen in the app, swipe down to find the Netflix Games row, or tap the Games tab.

  2. Tap on the game, and tap Get Game. The Play Store will open.

  3. Tap Install.

    • Depending on the game and your device settings, a Permissions screen may appear. Choose Accept.

  4. The game will download and install. When complete, choose Open.

    • After a game is installed, you can find it under the Netflix Games row in the Netflix app. It may also be on your device's home screen or in the app drawer.

  5. Choose your profile and start playing!


From the Play Store

You can also search for a game in the Google Play Store.

  1. Open the Play Store and search for the game by name or search for “Netflix games.”

  2. Select the game from the search results, and tap Install

    • Depending on the game and your device settings, a Permissions screen may appear. Choose Accept.

  3. The game will download and install. When complete, choose Open.

    • After a game is installed, you can find it under the Netflix Games row in the Netflix app. It may also be on your device's home screen or in the app drawer.

  4. If prompted, tap Continue and then sign in using the email address and the password of your Netflix account

  5. Choose your Netflix profile and start playing!


Netflix games aren't available in Kids profiles. A game may not appear for a profile if the profile’s maturity setting is set below the maturity rating of the game, or if your device isn't compatible with the game.

iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

From the Netflix app

The Netflix app includes a Netflix Games row on the home screen.

  1. From the home screen, scroll down to find the Netflix Games row.

  2. Tap on the game, and tap Get Game. The App Store will open.

  3. Select Get or tap the Cloud icon.

  4. The game will download and install. When complete, choose Open.

    • After a game is installed, you can find it under the Netflix Games row in the Netflix app. It may also be on your device's home screen.

  5. The game will launch using the primary profile in the account. Tap the Profile icon in the game if you'd like to change to a different one and start playing!


From the App Store

You can also search for a game in the App Store.

  1. Open the App Store  and search for the game by name or search “Netflix games.”

  2. Select the game from the search results, and select Get or tap the Cloud icon.

  3. The game will download and install. When complete, choose Open.

    • After the game is installed, you can find it under the Netflix Games row in the Netflix app. It may also be on your device's home screen. 

  4. If prompted to login, tap Next and then sign in using your Netflix account email address and the password. Select Log in.

  5. Choose your profile and start playing!

Tips for beating a Level

Knittens will pick a Recommended cat ability to use to complete the goal for a level. You can try using a different ability instead and see if that helps with your strategy!

Also, don't forget to combine bonuses like Birds, Flowers, Buttons, and Rainbow yarn.

How to earn Fashion Points

You can knit an item as many items you want, but you can only earn a maximum of 2x the Fashion Points per item.

For example, if you knit the item for the first time without Pattern Yarn you'll receive the base amount of points. If you knit the same item a second time using Pattern Yarn you'll earn the base amount of points again. This means the maximum has been met. If you knit the same item again for a third time you won't get any more Fashion Points.

You can also earn 2x the Fashion Points by knitting an item with Pattern Yarn for the first time. After doing this, you won't get any more Fashion Points if you knit it again because the maximum was reached.

Can I restart the game?

The game progress is tied to your Netflix profile through cloud saves. You won’t be able to restart the game using the same profile, but you can replay levels. 

Troubleshooting/Issues

If you're having a technical issue or find a bug while playing a game, pick the option that matches your issue and follow the steps.

Avoid uninstalling a game or resetting data for games that don't use cloud saves. This can reset your game progress and can't be recovered.

Game crashes, freezes, or stops responding

If your game stops working, won't respond, or closes suddenly:

Game performance or visual issues

If your game doesn't perform well, lags, or visually skips or stutters:

Game sound or volume issues

If you don't get any sound or the volume is too quiet:

  • Check your device's volume or sound settings. If your phone has a Silent or Do Not Disturb mode make sure it's off.

  • If the game has its own sound settings, check if they're on and turned up.

  • If your device is connected to a speaker or headphones using Bluetooth, try turning Bluetooth off and back on.

If the sound is choppy or stutters:

Lost game progress or missing game items

If you lost game progress, your game save was reset, or are missing game items or currency:

  • If you uninstalled the game or reset the game data and the game doesn't have cloud saves, the game data was removed and can't be recovered.

  • If you didn't uninstall the game or reset the game data and are still having this issue, please contact us.
