Netflix says 'Sorry, we had trouble logging you in. Request Failed: Unauthorized (401).'
If you're seeing an error that says:
Sorry, we had trouble logging you in. Request Failed: Unauthorized (401)
It usually means a software or Internet connectivity problem is keeping your Apple TV 4 or Apple TV 4K from connecting to the Netflix service. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.
Delete Netflix
On the Apple TV home screen, highlight the Netflix app.
Press and hold the center of your remote's touch surface or clickpad ring until the Netflix app starts to wiggle.
Press the Play/Pause button to delete the app.
Select Delete to confirm.
Reinstall Netflix
On the Apple TV home screen, open the App Store.
Search for "Netflix" to find the app, then select Install.
Try Netflix again.
