Next episode isn't playing automatically

If the next episode doesn't play on its own, change your profile settings to play the next episode automatically. If changing the setting doesn't fix the problem, follow these steps.

Mobile phones and tablets

  1. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Netflix won't automatically play the next episode when connected to a mobile network to avoid using more data than expected.

  2. Update the Netflix app to the newest version:

  3. Unplug any video cables or adapters connecting your phone or tablet to your TV. If this works, it means your device doesn't support automatically playing the next episode when it's connected to a TV.

All other devices

Restart your device
  1. Turn off your device. If your device has a power cable, unplug it.

  2. Make sure your device is completely off, not just in sleep or standby mode.

  3. Leave your device off for 15 seconds.

  4. Turn on your device and try Netflix again.
