Deleting your Netflix account

It is our standard practice to automatically delete Netflix accounts 10 months after the membership has been canceled. To request the earlier deletion of your canceled Netflix account, please follow the steps according to the device you’re using.

  • By deleting your account, you will permanently lose access to your account activity, preferences and more.

  • If you think you may want to use your account in the future, you can cancel it instead. Canceling your membership means that if you come back to Netflix in the next 10 months to restart your membership, your profiles, viewing preferences and more will be waiting for you.

A few things to note if you decide to delete your Netflix account:

  • If your membership is active, it will be canceled at the end of the current billing period and then the account will be permanently deleted.

  • You can undo your deletion request from the Account page any time before the end of your current billing period.
