How to sign in to Netflix

To sign in, follow the steps for your device below.

TV or TV streaming device

Sign in on a smart TV or device that connects to a TV, including streaming sticks and media players, cable boxes, Apple TV, and Xbox or PlayStation game consoles.

  1. On your TV, open Netflix and choose Sign in.

  2. Open your smartphone’s camera app and point it at the QR code on your TV.

  3. Focus the camera on the QR code until a link pops up. Tap the link.

  4. Tap the Sign in to TV button. You'll be signed in to Netflix on your TV automatically.

Note: If you don't see a code like the one in the image, you'll need to use your remote to sign in.

  1. On your TV, open Netflix and select Sign in.

  2. On your computer or mobile device, go to netflix.com/tv2. If you have an Apple TV go to netflix.com/atv.

  3. Follow the steps in your browser to sign into your TV. You might need to sign in to Netflix first.

Note:If you don't see a code as shown in the image, you'll need to use your remote to sign in.

  1. On your TV, open Netflix and select Sign in.

  2. Toggle to Use Remote.

  3. If prompted, enter your email address or primary account phone number and select Next.

    1. If your email or phone number is already entered, make sure it's the right one.

  4. Choose Send Sign-In Link or Use Password Instead.

    Note: You can only sign in with a password when using the primary account email or phone number. To sign in with an email address added to a profile, use the sign-in link option instead.

  • Send Sign-In Link: Click or tap the link in the email we sent you. Your TV will automatically sign in.

    Note: Depending on your TV, you may not see the Send Sign-In Link option.

  • Password: Make sure the email address on the screen is correct, then use your remote to enter your password.

    • If the wrong email address is shown or there's a typo in it, select Previous to re-enter it.

Phone or tablet

Sign in to the mobile app on an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad.

  1. On your mobile phone or tablet, open Netflix and select Sign In.

  2. Enter your email address or primary account phone number and select Continue.

  3. Enter the 4-digit code sent to you by email or text message on your device. The code will expire in 15 minutes.

If you are having trouble getting or using a sign-in code, these steps can help fix common issues. You can also follow the instructions below to sign in with a password instead.

Note: You can only sign in with a password when using the primary account email or phone number. To sign in with an email address added to a profile, use the sign-in code option instead.

  1. On your mobile phone or tablet, open Netflix and select Sign In.

  2. Enter your email address or primary account phone number and select Continue.

  3. Select Get Help to expand the menu.

  4. Select Use password instead.

  5. Enter your account password and select Sign In.

Note: A sign-in code will still be sent by email or text message even if you choose to sign in with a password.

Computer or web browser

Sign in on the Netflix website or the Netflix app for Windows 10 and later.

  1. On a web browser, go to netflix.com/login or open Netflix on a Windows computer or tablet​.

  2. Enter your email address or primary account phone number and click Continue.

  3. If prompted, click Sign In then Continue.

  4. Enter the 4-digit code sent to you by email or text message on your device. The code will expire in 15 minutes.
