How to use Netflix on your TiVo
Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your TiVo and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you don't know if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps in the Set up Netflix section.
Netflix is available on many TiVo models. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:
Supported regions
Netflix is available worldwide. Most devices will work wherever Netflix is available, but some older devices will only work in the country where they were purchased. If you're considering buying a new device, check with the manufacturer to see if it supports Netflix in your region.
Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category (for example, comedies, dramas, TV shows) that we show you based on what you’ve watched. Older devices may not have rows of categories, but do allow you to scroll through My List, which you can create using the Netflix website.
Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.
Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.
Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. To check if 5.1 audio works on your device, go to any Netflix original to see if there is a 5.1 audio option. If not, this feature doesn't work on your device. You can change the appearance of subtitles and captions on many devices Devices that don't support customization will show subtitles and captions in their default appearance.
To connect your TiVo to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and select the option below that best describes your device.
Begin from your TV home screen.
Press the Netflix button on your remote.
Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.
Press the Home button on your TiVo remote.
Select Apps & Games.
Select TV & Movies.
Select Netflix.
Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.
If you are not yet a member, follow the sign up prompts or set up your membership online.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!
Use your remote to navigate to Channel 824 on your TV.
Once on Channel 824, select OK to launch the Netflix app.
Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.
If you are not yet a member, follow the sign up prompts or set up your membership online.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!
Press the Home button on your TiVo remote.
Select Apps & Games.
Select TV & Movies.
Select Netflix.
Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.
If you are not yet a member, follow the sign up prompts or set up your membership online.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.

Use your remote to navigate to Channel 594 on your TV.
Once on Channel 594, select OK to launch the Netflix app.
Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.
If you are not yet a member, follow the sign up prompts or set up your membership online.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!
Press the TiVo button on your remote to access TiVo Central.
Select Find TV, Movies, & Videos.
Select Netflix.
Select Sign In.
If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.
If you are not yet a member, set up your membership online.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.
Select Continue.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!
Press the Home button on your TiVo remote.
Select Apps & Games.
Select TV & Movies.
Select Netflix.
Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.
If you are not yet a member, follow the sign up prompts or set up your membership online.

Select Find TV, Movies, & Videos.

If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.
If you are not yet a member, set up your membership online.

Select Find TV, Movies, & Videos.
Select Netflix.

If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

Once on Channel 697 or Channel 999, select OK to launch the Netflix app.

From the TiVo home screen, go to TiVo Central.
Select Settings & Messages.
Select Help.
Select Account & System info.
Select Video Provider Accounts.
Select Netflix Account information.
Select Deactivate this device.
From the TiVo home screen, go to TiVo Central.
Select Settings & Messages.
Select Account & System Info.
Select Video Provider Accounts.
Select Netflix Account Management.
Select Deactivate this device.
From the TiVo home screen, go to TiVo Central.
Select Settings & Messages.
Select Account & System Info.
Select Netflix Account Info.
Select Deactivate this device.
From the TiVo home screen, go to TiVo Central.
Select Settings & Messages.
Select Help.
Select Account & System info.
Select Video Provider Accounts.
Select Netflix Account Information.
Select Deactivate this device.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on select TiVo streaming media players. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:
A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV with the Netflix app, connected to your TiVo via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).
A plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD. You can check which plan you're currently on at netflix.com/ChangePlan.
A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.
Streaming quality set to High or Auto. More information about video quality settings can be found in our playback settings article.
Netflix is available in HDR on select TiVo streaming media players. To stream in HDR, you will need:
A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.
A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.
A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).
A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.
Streaming quality set to High.
