How to use Netflix on your Google Fiber streaming media player

Welcome to Netflix on your Google Fiber streaming media player! Use this article to learn about Netflix features and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you’re unsure if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps in the “Set up Netflix” section to attempt to locate the Netflix app.

Netflix is available on select Google Fiber streaming media players. Streaming features on supported devices include:

Supported Regions
Netflix is available on Google Fiber streaming media players in the United States.

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

To connect your Google Fiber streaming media player to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and follow the steps below.

  1. Select Menu.

  2. Select More.

  3. Select Netflix.

  4. Sign in to your Netflix account.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Press the Menu button on your Google Fiber remote.

  2. Select Apps & More.

  3. Select Fiber Settings.

  4. Select Advanced.

  5. Select Deactivate.

  6. On the screen that prompts you to confirm deactivation, select Yes.
