How to use Netflix on your KT cable box

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on the KT cable box, and how to set up and sign out of your account.

Netflix is available on select KT cable boxes. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category (such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows) that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in the highest supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose how subtitles and captions look. Some devices show subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to show subtitles.

On some devices, you can also stream select titles with Dolby Atmos audio.

Automatic Sign-In
Some cable boxes can automatically sign you in. If you pay for Netflix through the company providing your cable box, you'll be signed in to your Netflix account on any new, extra, or replacement cable box that supports automatic sign-in.

To connect your KT cable box to your Netflix account, start from the home screen and choose from the options below.

  1. From the home menu, select Netflix and press Enter.

  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

Press the microphone button on the remote or device.

  1. Once the cable box is listening, say "Netflix."

  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

  1. Starting from the home menu, select Kids/Games/Shopping App and then Smart Service.

  2. Select Netflix and press Enter.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings .

  4. Select Sign out.

  5. Select Yes to confirm.

  3. On the right, select Settings .

  4. Select Exit.

  5. Select OK.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on select KT cable boxes. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in 4K Ultra HD.

  • A 2014 or newer 4K Ultra HD TV that is capable of streaming 4K Ultra HD content at 60 Hz, connected to your cable box via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

Netflix is available in HDR on select KT cable boxes. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High.
