How to use Netflix on your Osaka Gas set-top box

Learn about Netflix features on your Osaka Gas set-top box, and how to set up and sign out of your account. If you don't know if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps in the “Set Up Netflix” section.

Netflix is available on select Osaka Gas set-top boxes. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

To connect your Osaka Gas set-top box to your Netflix account, start from the Home screen and choose from the options below.

Connect from the menu

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote.

  2. Find the Netflix app and press OK.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from your remote

  1. Begin from your TV home screen.

  2. Press the Netflix button on your remote.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Netflix home screen, then go left to open the menu.

  2. At the bottom, select Get Help > Sign out > Yes.

    Note:
    If you don't see Get Help, go up and select Settings settings icon.

If you can't find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out:

  1. Using your remote, press these buttons in this order: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

  2. On the menu that appears, select Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on select Osaka Gas devices. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV that is capable of streaming Ultra HD content at 60 Hz, connected to your set-top box via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

You can watch Netflix in Ultra HD on the following Osaka Gas models:

  • TV Stick TS-401

Netflix is available in HDR on select Osaka Gas devices. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High.
