How to use Netflix on your Swisscom cable box

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on Swisscom cable boxes, and how to set up and sign out of your account.

Netflix is available on select Swisscom cable boxes. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

Automatic Sign-In
Some cable boxes can automatically sign you in. If you pay for Netflix through the company providing your cable box, you'll be signed in to your Netflix account on any new, extra, or replacement cable box that supports automatic sign-in.

To connect your Swisscom cable box to your Netflix account, start from the Home screen and choose from the options below.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.

  2. Find the Apps menu and press OK.

  3. Find the Netflix app and press OK.

  4. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

  1. Use your remote to navigate to Channel 9999.

  2. Select OK to open the Netflix app.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

  1. From voice search enabled remotes, press the microphone button and say "Launch Netflix."

  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings .

  4. Select Sign out.

  5. Select Yes to confirm.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings .

  4. Select Exit.

  5. Select OK.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on select Swisscom cable boxes. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in 4K Ultra HD.

  • A 2014 or newer 4K Ultra HD TV that is capable of streaming 4K Ultra HD content at 60 Hz, connected to your cable box via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

Netflix is available in HDR on select Swisscom cable boxes. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High.
