How to use Netflix on your DNA set-top box

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your DNA set-top box, and how to set up and sign out of your account.

Netflix is available on select DNA set-top boxes, listed below. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

Silent Sign-In
Some DNA set-top boxes support Silent Sign-In (SSI), a technology that enables automatic sign-in. Netflix customers who are billed through DNA will automatically be signed in to their Netflix account on their new, additional, or replacement DNA set-top box if that box is SSI-enabled.

If you don't know your device’s model name, follow the steps in the “Set Up Netflix” section.

To connect your DNA set-top box to your Netflix account, start from the home screen and choose from the options below.

Connect from main menu

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote.

  2. Find the Netflix app and press OK.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

  4. Enter your Netflix email address and password and select Continue.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from Channel 140

  1. Use your remote to navigate to Channel 140.

  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

  3. Enter your Netflix email address and password and select Continue.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from your remote

  1. Begin from your TV home screen.

  2. Press the Netflix button on your remote.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

Exit and sign out of Netflix

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Sign out.

  5. Select Yes to confirm.

Exit Netflix without signing out

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Exit.

  5. Select OK.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on select DNA set-top boxes. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV that is capable of streaming Ultra HD content at 60 Hz, connected to your set-top box via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

You can watch Netflix in Ultra HD on the following DNA models:

  • DNA TV-hubi

  • DNA Hubi 2.0

Netflix is available in HDR on select DNA set-top boxes. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High.

You can watch Netflix in HDR on the following DNA models:
