How to use Netflix on your Tele2 or Boxer set-top box

Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your Tele2 or Boxer set-top box, and how to set up and sign out of your account.

Netflix is available on select Tele2 and Boxer set-top boxes, listed below. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation
On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category (such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows) that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Resolution
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in the highest supported resolution.

Parental controls
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.

Subtitles & alternate audio
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose how subtitles and captions look. Some devices show subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to show subtitles.

On some devices, you can also stream select titles with Dolby Atmos audio.

Silent Sign-In (SSI)
Some Tele2 set-top boxes support Silent Sign-In, a technology that enables automatic sign in. Netflix customers who are billed through Tele2 will automatically be signed in to their Netflix account on their new, additional, or replacement Tele2 set-top box if that box is SSI-enabled.

If you don't know your device’s model name, follow the steps in the “Set Up Netflix” section.

To connect your Tele2 and Boxer set-top box to your Netflix account, start from the Home screen and follow the steps for your device below.

Tele2 - TiVo

Connect from the home screen

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.

  2. Select Apps.

  3. Select Netflix.

  4. Select Sign In on the Netflix home screen.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from the channel lineup

  1. Use your remote to navigate to Channel 163.

  2. Select OK to launch the Netflix app.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Tele2 - Tv Hub

Connect from the home screen

  1. From the home screen, locate Apps and press OK.

  2. Locate Netflix within the Feature Apps section and press OK.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from your remote

  1. Begin from your TV home screen.

  2. Press the Netflix button on your remote.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In and follow the instructions on the screen.

Boxer - Tv Hub

Connect from the home screen

  1. From the home screen, find Apps and press OK.

  2. Find Netflix within the Feature Apps section and press OK.

  3. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

Tele2 - TiVo

  1. From the TiVo home screen, go to TiVo Start.

  2. Choose Settings & Help.

  3. Select Account & System info.

  4. Select Netflix Account information.

  5. Select Deactivate this device.

Tele2 - Tv Hub

Exit and sign out of Netflix

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Sign out.

  5. Select Yes to confirm.

Exit Netflix without signing out

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Exit.

  5. Select OK.

Boxer - Tv Hub

Exit and sign out of Netflix

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Sign out.

  5. Select Yes to confirm.

Exit Netflix without signing out

  1. Go to the Netflix Home screen.

  2. On your remote, press the Back or Last button.

  3. On the right, select Settings gear icon .

  4. Select Exit.

  5. Select OK.

You can watch Netflix in Ultra HD on select Tele2 and Boxer set-top boxes. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV that is capable of streaming Ultra HD content at 60 Hz, connected to your set-top box via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High or Auto.

The following Tele2 and Boxer models currently support Netflix in Ultra HD:

  • Tele2 - Tv Hub

  • Tele2 - Tv Hub Mini

  • Boxer - Tv Hub

Netflix is available in HDR on select Tele2 and Boxer set-top boxes. To stream in HDR, you will need:

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A streaming device that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR and Netflix.

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 connected to your device via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port).

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to High.
